Who we are
Axelis Invoice is an invoicing tool for freelancers, operated by Axelis Collective as part of the Axelis Collective platform. This policy covers the invoicing application only. It supplements the Axelis Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which apply across every Axelis app.
What we collect
We store the information you enter in order to produce invoices:
- Your business profile — name or trading name, business email, postal address, phone number, tax ID, timezone, and any logo you upload.
- Your clients — the name, company, email address, and postal address you record for each person you invoice.
- Your invoices — line items, amounts, currency, dates, notes, terms, status history, and the generated PDFs.
- Your payment methods — the bank, Wise, Payoneer, PayPal, or Remitly details you choose to print on your invoices so that clients can pay you.
- Your account — the email address associated with your Axelis Collective sign-in.
We do not collect payment card numbers, and we do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers in the application.
Data you enter about other people
A client record contains someone else's personal data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to store it. We process it only to render and send the invoices you create, and you can delete any client record at any time.
Google account data
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect it, we request a single scope, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send, which permits sending mail and nothing else. It grants no ability to read, search, or delete your mail, and we request no other Gmail permission.
We use it for exactly one purpose: to deliver an invoice you have chosen to send, from your own address, so that it arrives from you rather than from a generic service address. We store your Google email address, a Google account identifier, and a refresh token. The refresh token is encrypted at rest. You can disconnect Gmail at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored token, and you can also revoke access from your Google account's security settings.
Axelis Invoice's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data to others except as necessary to provide or improve the sending feature, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, to resolve a support issue you have raised, for security purposes, or where the law requires it.
Where your data is held
Application data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL and object storage), isolated per user by row-level security. Invoice email is delivered either through Resend or, if you have connected it, through your own Gmail account. The application is hosted on Vercel. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting a record removes it; closing your account removes the account and the application data attached to it. Invoices you have already sent remain in your client's inbox, which is outside our control.
Your choices
You can view, edit, or delete your business profile, clients, invoices, and payment methods from within the application, and disconnect Gmail without affecting anything else. For access, correction, export, or deletion requests that the product cannot satisfy, contact us at the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how your data is used, tell you in the application.
